In order to use Silver Star's email service, you must configure your email software to use SMTP Authentication. Follow the simple instructions below:

Outlook Express

1. From the “Tools” menu select “Accounts”
2. In the “Accounts” dialog select the “Mail” tab, select your entry for mail and then hit the <Properties> button.
3. Once in the “Properties” window select the “Servers” tab and make sure that you have smtp.silverstar.com set as your “Outgoing mail (SMTP) server. Also make sure the “My server requires authentication” box is selected.
4. Click OK and Close to exit

Outlook

1. From the “Tools” menu select “Email Accounts”
2. In the “Email Accounts” window select “View” or “Change” existing email accounts
3. Click Next
4. Then select the email account that you want to modify to use SMTP Authentication and hit the <Change> button
5. Make sure that you have your “Outgoing mail server (SMTP) set to “smtp.silverstar.com”
6. Then hit the <More Settings> button
7. In the “Internet Email Setting” window select the “Outgoing Server” tab
8. Check the box by “My outgoing server requires authentication”
9. Click OK, Next, and Finish to exit

Eudora

1. Select the Tools menu then select Options
2. In the Options window select Sending Mail in the left hand column
3. In the right hand column set the Secure Sockets when Sending to "Never"
4. Insert your “Email address”, for example sample@silverstar.net
5. Insert the “SMTP Server” info, which is smtp.silverstar.com
6. Select “Allow Authentication”
7. Click OK to exit

Thunderbird

1. From the “Tools” menu select “Account Settings”
2. In the “Account Settings” dialog select “Outgoing Server (SMTP)”
3. Select your default server (should be smtp.silverstar.com) and click Edit
4. Check the box marked “Use Name and Password”
5. Enter your Silver Star user name
6. Check the “No” option under “Use secure connection” section
7. Click OK and OK again to exit

Netscape

1. Select “Edit” menu.
2. Select “Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings”
3. Select “Outgoing Server (SMTP)” option
4. Enter you Silver Star user name and check the “Use name and password” block
5. Select the “No” button beneath the “Use secure connection (SSL)” entry
6. Click the “OK
” and OK again to exit
